Woneda Adams, 64, of Fletcher, passed away unexpectedly at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Kettering Hospital of Piqua. She was born July 23, 1957 in Bradford to the late Clarence and Isabella (Gabbard) Spencer. She married Dale Adams October 15, 1975 in Troy; and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Amie (John) Tatum of Sidney; a grandson, Nate Hess; one brother, Edward (Marla) Spencer of Bradford; and one sister Colleen (Richard) Seman of Covington. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Virgil, Bob; and three sisters, Mary, Carol, and Myrtle.
Mrs. Adams was a 1975 graduate of Bradford High School. She worked for many years for Meijer’s in Troy and was affectionately known as “The Candy Lady” as she restocked the shelves. Woneda had a zest for life and enjoyed shopping, camping at Poor Farmers as well as on their back property. She was a gifted cook and cherished the opportunity to cook for her family. She loved to vacation with her family, especially in Florida at Sanibel Island and Ft. Myers Beach as well as Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.
A gathering of family and friends to honor her life will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart & American Stroke Association, P.O, Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
