WILLIAM "BILL" E. FAVORITE

William E. "Bill" Favorite, 83, of Troy, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1941 in Piqua to the late George and Catherine (Casey) Favorite. He married Judy (Carr) Favorite June 2, 1973 in Piqua and she survives.

Bill is also survived by his daughter and son in law, Heather (Jamie) Maxwell of Troy, his grandson, Carson Maxwell; his sister, Patricia (Lynn) Jenkins of Rochester, Michigan; his beloved dog, Pepper; also other relatives and friends.

Bill was a graduate of Miami East High School, Class of 1959. He worked for the Piqua Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic, and retired after many years of hard work and dedication. Bill loved nature and enjoyed spending time outside, and he was an avid gardener. Bill was able to nurture any plant from roses to bamboo at his home. He enjoyed woodworking, and had built cabinets and his dining room table for Judy and himself. Bill enjoyed following Nascar and sprint racing as well. Family was most important to Bill, and he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family. He adored his grandson, and made sure to attend as many sporting events and school functions as he was able to.

A service to honor his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Enis officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rehabilitation Center for Neurological Development, or to one's favorite charity.
