Wanda L. Hamlin, 76, of Piqua, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1948 in Piqua to the late Russell and Mary (Bobbit) Wintrow.
Survivors include three children, Brenda Mills of Piqua, Jenell Hartley of Piqua, David Hamlin of Piqua; eight grandchildren, Jordan Hamlin, Chelsea (A.J.) Guillozet, Chuck Mills, Victoria (Derek) Butler, Chris Mills, Leah Hamlin, Kimberly Champ, Dylan Hamlin; ten great grandchildren and expecting one more; two special nieces, Kim Butts of Piqua, Rhonda Elders of Piqua; and her favorite cousin, Susie Riddle of Pleasant Hill. She was preceded in death by six brothers; and three sisters.
Wanda was a 1966 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She was a member of Piqua Baptist Church for many years. She was a devoted homemaker and mother who took great pride in caring for her home and family. She loved to play BINGO as well as watching her favorite Western Films. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved cheering on and attending games for the Ohio State Buckeyes. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and her great grandbabies who brought her so much joy. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.
A funeral service to honor her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with close family friend Jamey Slife officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
