VELMA MOSER

Velma Moser, 75, of Sidney, passed away peacefully at 9:35 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 in the comfort of her home. She was born September 30, 1949 in Smithsboro, Kentucky to the late Arnold and Emogene (Short) Collins. She married Bernard M. Moser October 8, 1966 in Fletcher; and he preceded her in death May 4, 2020.

Survivors include a daughter, Genora “Ginnie” Moser of Sidney; and three grandchildren, Caisen Swallow, Colin Swallow, and Carson Swallow. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Moser; and two brothers, Wayne Collins, and Frank Collins.

Mrs. Moser was a wonderful homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending her time with them. She worked for a short time as a hostess for Frisch’s Big Boy until she had saved up enough money to buy a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. She enjoyed riding with her husband. In her younger years she also enjoyed camping. She served as a councilor with Al-Anon for many years and helped numerous families. She enjoyed watching her favorite television programs, as well as read her favorite novels. She will be deeply missed by her family.

A service to honor her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 650 N.
