Tony L. Bubp, 61, of Houston, passed away peacefully at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Troy Care and Rehab. He was born February 8, 1962 in Greenville to Patricia A. (Wagner) Hardin of Piqua, and the late Ronald L. Hardin, Sr. He married Patricia J. “Patti” Bryant May 25, 2002; and she survives.
Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Alexis (Joe) Loza, Andrew Bolin, Tyler Bolin, Trevor Nicholas, Madison Bolin, Kennedy Nicholas, Ava Bolin, Jayce Nicholas; four great grandchildren, Simon, Reuben, Emma, Toma; and three siblings, Theresa Miller of Miamisburg, Ricky (Teresa) Hardin of Piqua, Shawna (Rod) Suman of Springfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Nathaniel Bolin; brother, Shane Hardin; and his beloved grandmother, Emma Woods.
Tony attended Piqua City Schools and the Joint Vocational School. He worked as his own boss as the owner of Big T’s Automotive. He enjoyed working on cars so much that he built a racecar and took it to compete on local tracks. He was a member of the Piqua Fish & Game, and the Troy Fish & Game. Tony was the epitome of “Outdoorsman”. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; enjoyed shooting trap and skeet; trapping; snowmobiling and four wheeling. Any opportunity to be outside, he took it. He was a gifted gardener and kept a very large garden and enjoyed canning. He also looked forward to mowing his lawn, a “chore” he truly enjoyed. Most importantly, he loved his family; especially his grandchildren and he cherished every chance to spend time with them.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Barger officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 2831 Prospect Ave. Cleveland, OH 44115.
