Timothy L. Hatcher, 62, formerly of Piqua, more recently of Troy, passed away at 11:46 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 25, 1958 in Piqua to the late Richard T. and Dorothy J. (Marchal) Hatcher. He married Nancy M. Gross November 12, 1993 in Piqua; and she survives.
Other survivors include four children, Paxton Hatcher and Tiffany Hatcher both of Cleveland, Bradley Hatcher, Kristin (Robin) Jones; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Tambra A. Young and Terri A. (Stephen) Riffell all of Piqua. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Hatcher.
Tim was a graduate of Lehman Catholic High School, Edison State College and Antioch University. He recently retired from Goodrich/Collins Aerospace where he held numerous positions during his 40 year career with the company. Additionally, he owned and operated Hatcher Construction Company. He was selected as a Coach of Basketball at Piqua Catholic School, Lehman Catholic High School, Russia High School and Botkins High School. Previously he coached baseball and softball teams. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and attended St. Patrick Catholic Church of Troy. As an outdoorsman, he loved fishing, boating and landscaping. He will be remembered for being an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and positively impacting so many individuals through coaching. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Eric Bowman as the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
