Obituary

Thomas E. Kraska, 74, of Piqua, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1947 in Dayton to the late Nicholas Frank and Frances Inez (Taylor) Kraska. He married Shirley (Tilley) Kraska and she preceded him in death January 5, 2019.

Survivors include two sons, Nick Kraska of Piqua, Jonathan Kraska of Dayton; a daughter, Cindy (Michael) Brown of St. Paris; two grandchildren, Aurorah and Savannah Kraska, his siblings, Mitchell (Kathy) Kraska of Martinsville, Virginia, Andrew Kraska of Dayton, Cathy Barlage of Dayton; his dear friend, Sharon Sanders of Troy; also many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fran Kraska and Debbie Holder.

Mr. Kraska worked for Dayton Tire & Rubber and Continental Airlines from which he retired. He was a member of The Valley Church. Tom was a big Georgia Tech sports fan, and enjoyed going fishing; having won a few tournaments. One of his favorite pastimes was riding the trike around with Sharon, they were members of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Tom was loved by all and will surely be missed.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral services are being provided to the family by Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
