THOMAS W. HILL, JR.

Thomas W. Hill, Jr., 89 of Piqua, passed away at 2:16 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born January 20, 1936 in Piqua to the late Thomas W. and Hazel (Young) Hill, Sr. He married Brenda J. Carr February 10, 1962 in Piqua; and she survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Lindsey (Loyal) Davis of Piqua; two grandchildren, Ryne (Kristen) Davis, Teija Davis; four great grandchildren, Olivia Jo Davis, Carter Steven Davis, Lucas Andrew Davis, Emma Elizabeth Davis; a sister, Shirley Robinson of Saginaw, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven C. Hill; three sisters, Jean Meyers, Billie Anne Wills, Susan Davis; two nephews; one niece; two great nieces; a great nephew; and three brothers-in-law.

Mr. Hill was a 1954 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He was a member of The Valley Church in Piqua. He served proudly in the United States Army. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator for Aerovent for over 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 217 in Sidney. Tom loved baseball and followed closely the Cincinnati Reds, Dayton Dragons where he was a season ticket holder, and he coached Little League in Piqua for over 15 years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed visiting casinos with his family. Additionally, he was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Tom will be remembered for his ability to keep your attention during a story, his wonderful sense of humor, and his unwavering support and love for his family. He will be deeply missed.

A service to honor his life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Monnin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
