THOMAS A. GROVE

Thomas A. Grove, 85, of Piqua, passed away at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born December 4, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Thomas Albert and Frances Mae (Chavey) Grove Lehto. He married Ruth Ann Stump November 11, 1962 in Piqua; and she survives.

Other survivors include four children, Tom (Robyn) Grove Jr. of Hilliard, Marty Grove of Piqua, Jenny (Brent M.D.) Sneed of Indianapolis, Indiana, Chris (Becky) Grove M.D. of Ormond Beach, Florida; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Lina), Kristen, Kurt (Danielle), Darrin (Conner), Jason (Carlie), Jared,  Jocey, Abby, Ben; and  three great grandchildren, Sadie, Brody and Jonah. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Ann Koontz.

Mr. Grove earned his Associates Degree from Sinclair College and retired as the Vice-President of Purchasing for Globe Motors of Dayton. He served as an Airman 2nd Class with the United States Air Force. He was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he volunteered with many Church initiatives over the years. He was active with various community organizations including the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts and Jaycees. He enjoyed and was very experienced with Amateur Radio for over 69 years. He will be remembered for his love of family, faith and sense of humor.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church with Pastor Josh Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
