THOMAS R. FORD

Thomas R. Ford, 76, of Piqua, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born September 29, 1946 in Piqua to the late Richard E. and Jesslyn W. (Leethy) Ford. He married Marilyn J. (Meyer) Ford September 23, 1972 in Covington and she survives.

Tom is also survived by two children, Michael T. (Candice) Ford of Piqua, and Kari A. (DeAndre) Barnes of Sidney; five grandchildren, Connor, Ruby, Maddox, Quinci, and Laityn; also many other relatives and friends.

Tom was a graduate of Piqua High School Class of 1964. Tom proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for many years as a Driver's License Examiner with the Ohio State Patrol and also enjoyed being a bus driver for Piqua City Schools. Tom and Marilyn had moved to Florida after their marriage and returned to the area in 1986. In his free time, Tom was an avid golfer and frequented all of the local courses. He and a group of friends would travel to golf in Myrtle Beach once a year and he thoroughly enjoyed their trips. Above all, Tom loved to spend time with his wife and children and loved to spoil the grandchildren. He will be missed by all who loved him.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hill Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
