Terry L. Hayslett, 69, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home. He was born August 26, 1955 in Piqua to the late John and Georgia (Cavender) Hayslett.
Terry is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Hayslett of Brookville, and Tabitha (James) Jackson of Beavercreek; two grandchildren, Maree Gregg, and Kayleigh Stover; two siblings, Karen Hayslett of Piqua, and Curtis Hayslett of Florida; his sister in law, Kim Hayslett of Troy; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Hayslett.
Terry worked for many years as a maintenance man maintaining rental properties. He loved dirt track racing and demolition derbies, and enjoyed going to Eldora Speedway to watch those events. Terry was a craftsman at heart, and he previously enjoyed making knives out of deer antlers, and built dollhouses for family members. Terry was very interested in Native American items and enjoyed collecting those. He enjoyed living a simple and private life and his family was very important to him.
A time to honor his life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com.
