Terence Lee "Terry" Kinsinger, 79, of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1945 in Troy to the late Reldon D. "King" and Naomi E. (Ward) Kinsinger.
He is survived by the love of his life, Twila Haynes of sixteen and a half years; his beloved daughter, Kelly A. (Curtis) Weaver of Troy; four grandchildren, Chris (Kellie) Borror, Danielle (Mitch) Kiser, Hanna Weaver, Hailey Weaver; and four great grandchildren, Lorilai, Aiden, Alec, and Addison. He was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Kinsinger.
Terry was a 1965 graduate of Troy High School. He worked briefly for Main Furniture and Buecker's Interiors before starting at his dream job at the Bob L. Fess SOHIO Service Station in 1966. He went on to purchase the station from Bob in 1999 and served the Piqua area as Terry's Service Station from 1999 to 2017. He had a passion for keeping the station as original as possible. He was known for his automobile knowledge, dependable service and integrity. He enjoyed antique cars, motorcycles and anyone who would want to talk about them; as well as attending motorcycle and auto races. Additionally, his faith was strong as evidenced by his attendance at the Hardin United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and many satisfied customers.
A service to honor his life will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hunsucker officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In keeping with Terry's gracious spirit, he donated his body to Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine.
