T. Dale Snyder, 90, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 9:28 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022. He was born October 6, 1931 in Piqua to the late Noble A. and Mabel (Studebaker) Snyder. He married Theresa D. Clawson June 29, 1951 in Piqua; and she preceded him in death December 1, 2016.
Survivors include two sons, Rick (Bev) Snyder of Piqua, Chris (Leisa Spears) Snyder of Union, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Nick (Amy) Snyder, Andrew (Kendra) Snyder, Ashley (Raymond) Anthony, Delaney Snyder, Dylan Snyder, Dawson Snyder, Kaylin Mulcahy, Lauren Mulcahy, Braden Mulcahy; four great grandchildren, Lincoln, Olivia, Jenna, Owen; two brothers, Ron (Susan) Snyder of Minster, Keith (Rosie) Snyder of Piqua; and one sister, Norma Lyons of Columbus. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Snyder; and five sisters, Donna Lemmon, Sue Lavey, Betty Giesseman, Marceil Apple, and Maxine Russell.
Mr. Snyder was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was the Owner and Sales Representative for Snyder’s Incorporated over 40 years before his retirement. He was active with the Miami County Korean War Veterans where he served as the Secretary for many years, the V.F.W. 40th Infantry, and served as a Miami County Veterans Commissioner. He enjoyed taking his Army vehicle in parades locally as well as to Branson, Missouri for Veterans week. He was honored to be invited to drive his vehicle in Washington D.C.’s Veterans parade. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. Dale was extremely patriotic and was a proud veteran. He loved showing his support to his country by passing out flags to children everywhere he went.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Larry Butt officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans Association, P.O. Box 407 Charleston, IL 61920.
