TAMMY HAHN Obituary

Tammy M. Hahn, 63, of Piqua, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1961 in Troy to the late Lawrence and Thelma (Myers) Staugler. She married William D. Hahn August 7, 1991 in Troy and he survives.

Tammy is also survived by two daughters, Jessica (Lee Rogers) Brown of Troy, and Alicia (Josh Getman) Nickels of Kettering; five grandchildren, Caitlyn Griffieth, Addison Rogers, Theron Rogers, Sarah Nickels, and Crystal Nickels; one sister, Valerie (Tom) Ruppert of Covington; two nephews, Ben Staugler and Eddie Staugler; and her brother in law, Donald Langston; also other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Dwayne Staugler; two brothers, Ernest Staugler and Phil Staugler; and her sister in law, Mildred Langston.

Tammy had worked various jobs over the years but her favorite was being a mother. She loved to cook for friends and family, especially her fried chicken. She enjoyed crocheting, and did crafts frequently with the children and grandchildren. She didn't like to take care of the plants in the garden but she loved to admire them. She enjoyed spending time with the girls and going for "retail therapy", and also enjoyed setting up a picnic at the park and enjoying the sunshine. In the early 2000's she was big into online chat rooms and enjoyed conversations and games with people from around the world. One of Tammy's best friends started a successful Quarter Auction event, and she was one of the first and longtime supporters of the event.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Miami Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to His Hands Extended Sanctuary.
