SYLVIA E. JACOBS

Sylvia E. Jacobs, 75, of Piqua passed away at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born July 20, 1946 in Piqua to the late Earnest and Mae (Cromes) Zacharias. She married James A. Jacobs January 21, 1995 and he preceded her in death November 9, 2004.

Survivors include four daughters, Laura Gade of Troy, Jamie Morrison of Tipp City, Melissa Jacobs of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Michelle Jacobs of Hubert, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Zacharias of Piqua; also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Zacharias; and a grandchild, Justin Michelle Jacobs.

Mrs. Jacobs was a 1965 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She was a past member at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. She worked for over 20 years as a cook for Bennett Jr. High School and then for Piqua Central Intermediate. She loved to craft and attend craft shows and flea markets. She was skilled at rug weaving and liked to make dolls and pot holders. Additionally, she liked to fish, camp and spend time traveling.

A service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
