Sylvan A. “Tony” Yearsley, 66, of Piqua, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 2, 1954 in Piqua, Ohio to Walter Yearsley and Eileen Cost Yearsley, both of whom preceded him in death.
Tony is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Matt) Noland of Piqua, Stephanie Fowler of the Columbus area; a brother Dave (Kris) Yearsley of Huber Heights; a sister Sheila (Ken) Groves of Maryland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Nick Yearsley of Piqua.
Tony attended Piqua City Schools. He was retired from Crane Pumps and Systems in Piqua. Tony will always be remembered as a gifted musician. He was a talented guitar player and in his early years played in the Yearsley Brothers Band with his brother Nick and several friends. Tony loved to listen to music and supported the Cincinnati Bengals.
A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Tony’s final resting place is Cedar Hill Cemetery in Piqua. He will forever be missed by his family and friends. Funeral arrangements are being provided to his family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
