STEVEN H. "STEVE" ALLENBAUGH
Steven H. "Steve" Allenbaugh, 67, passed away peacefully May 15, 2021, at his family home. He was born November 18, 1953, in Piqua to the late Harold I. (Ellen) Allenbaugh and Betty L. (Carl) Hinkle. He married Brenda K. (Stover) Allenbaugh on April 11, 1980; and she survives. Steve was preceded in death by his son Aaron S. Allenbaugh.
Other survivors include his son, Eric R. (Nicole) Allenbaugh of Piqua; two grandchildren, Madeline Kay and Mitchell Aaron; and his family: Steve Stover of Piqua, Dana (Sue) Stover of Wisconsin, Yvonne (Jerry) Waters of Sidney, Sherry (Carl) Newcombe of Strasburg, Virgina, Sandy Reck of Sidney, Lori (Billy) Carroll of York, Pennsylvania, Allen Stover of Piqua; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve graduated from Piqua High School in 1972. He operated Allenbaugh's Paint and Body Shop for many years which included a commercial snow plowing business. He was very proud to become the sixth generation farmer for Allenbaugh Farms; being handed the title from his father, Harold, and grandfather, Raymond, with Eric as the seventh generation farmer. Steve was active in 4H and the Miami County Fair, but his favorite past time (other than farming) was truck pulling over the past 40 years with his many friends and family in Ohio and Indiana.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Christine Mertz officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Tabernacle of the Lord Jesus Christ Church, 1502 Waco St., Troy, OH 45373; Lockington New Beginnings Church, 10288 Museum Trail, Piqua, OH 45356; or Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, Inc.
