SIEGFRIED FUERST

Siegfried Fuerst, 77 of Troy, passed away at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Dayton VA Victory Ridge Hospice Unit. He was born August 15, 1948 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late John and Ursula Fuerst. With his parents, he came to the United States in 1964.

Survivors include a daughter; several nieces and nephews; good friend, Rita Shelby. Siegfried was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Siegfried retired from Crane Pumps & Systems working as a machinist. He proudly served in the United States Army for 2 years and in the United States Army Reserves for over 10 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing sports, especially soccer. Hobbies he enjoyed were gardening, antiquing and traveling. Siegfried would feed the cardinals and hummingbirds in his neighborhood. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Siegfried was of the Christian faith. He was a kind and caring person.

A service to honor Siegfried will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
