SHIRLEY BROWN Obituary

Shirley Anne Brown, 89, of Piqua, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at Piqua Manor Nursing Facility, where she was surrounded by compassionate care and family. Shirley was born on August 23, 1937, in Eaton, Ohio to Robert Brower and Ann Overbay Brower. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard “Budge” Brown, and her former husband, John H. Cline ll.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Terri Hazeltine of Sidney, Debra Cummings (Ken) of Troy, and three sons, Howard Steven Brown (Jayne) of Bradford, BJ Brown (Leah) of Piqua, John Cline (Leigh) of Sidney; 13 Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; and her sister, Brenda Combs of Flatwoods, West Virginia; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ohio and West Virginia.

Shirley enjoyed boating on Lake Erie with her late husband “Budge”, reading Amish Novels, beginner painting, adult coloring, garage sales, watching NASCAR races, football, trips to Pigeon Forge and Cherokee North Carolina, and The Great Smokey Mountains. She enjoyed Country music and Bluegrass and Gospel. Shirley embraced her faith later in life and enjoyed attending The Valley Church where she made many friends.

Shirley resided the past 1 1/2 years at Piqua Manor Nursing Facility and often referred to it as her home. She considered the staff her family and they in turn showered her with love and compassion.
