SHARON K. MEDLEY

Sharon K. Medley, 70, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 10:04 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1955 in Sidney to the late Joseph and Myrtle (Hickman) Crim. She married Idaho “Rick” Medley June 29, 1999 in Shelby County and he survives.

Other survivors include four stepchildren, Jason Medley of Piqua, Kara Medley of Trotwood, Kimberly (Philon) Medley of Kettering, Joshua Medley of Piqua; nine step grandchildren; four step great great grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Velma) Crim of Sidney; a nephew, Brian (Jennifer) Crim; a special niece she was especially fond of, Marilyn (Ken) Hemsworth; and two brothers-in-law, Ronald Lee of Troy, Kevin (Carol) Lee of Piqua; and a sister-in-law Sheila Turner of Winter Park, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lenora Paige; a brother-in-law, Michael Bowles; and a sister-in-law, Debra Lee.

Mrs. Medley was a 1973 graduate of Sidney High School. She worked for various employers over the years, including Spirion, Time Warner Cable, General Highway, and True North. Sharon was a Christian woman who followed the teaching of the Bible. She was pastored by her sister-in-law for many years and enjoyed their weekly Bible study. She loved to visit thrift stores, especially when she could go with family. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was an animal lover and deeply loved her cats. Additionally, she enjoyed listening to music, especially the music of Prince.

A service to honor her life will begin at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Sheila Turner officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held in Pasco Cemetery.
