SARA FAVORITE Obituary

Sara J. Favorite, 72, of Piqua, passed away at 5:56 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born March 1, 1953 in Piqua to the late Charles and Rita (Lange) Hennessey. She married David Favorite January 8, 1993 in Gatlinburg, and he survives.

Sara is also survived by three step-children, Nicole Favorite, Monica (Michael) Burns, and Samantha Favorite; three siblings, Mike (Penny Lindsey) Hennessey, Suzie Milligan, and Mark (Carol) Hennessey; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sara was a graduate of the first graduating class of Lehman High School, Class of 1971. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She worked in the office for A.M. Leonard for over 40 years of hard work and dedication. Sara was heavily involved in the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, formerly the Piqua club and the current Troy Eagles clubs. She has held every leadership position with the Eagles, and worked all the way up to being the State President in the past. She and David have the honor of being in the Eagles Hall of Fame for their contributions and membership over the years. In her free time, Sara enjoyed going camping at the Eagles Campground in Bellefontaine, and also taking trips to the casino or spending time at the club.

A service to honor her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Isaiah Callan officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
