RYLAN N. SOROÑO-MUTZNER

Rylan Neil Soroño-Mutzner, 15, of Piqua, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital following a valiant battle with cancer. He was born December 18, 2009 in Troy to Joseph Neil Mutzner of Piqua and Macey L. Wright of Piqua.

Other survivors include two brothers, Hudson Schneider, Hewitt Schneider both of Piqua; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Arlene Mutzner of Guam; his maternal grandmother, Kelli Slusser of Piqua; his aunts, Stacey Wright of Piqua, Hollie Mutzner of Guam, Tabatha Crotzer of North Carolina; cousins, Makena Goodrich, Owen Bradford, Seth Crotzer, Luke Crotzer; and his girlfriend, Kaylee York of Piqua.

Rylan was currently attending Piqua High School as a Freshman. He enjoyed training at Smile Back Training Center, and was highly dedicated to the sport of boxing. He adored his trainers, Johny and Chelsea Conner who became a part of his family. He was strong willed in his demeanor and was known to be extremely kind hearted to everyone he came in contact with. He was giving of himself and his time. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He was very mature for his age and was protective of his family. He was a kid who would tell you how it is but remained strong and reserved in his personal battles with his treatment. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
