RUTH G. SMITH

Ruth G. Smith, 96, of Celina, formerly of Tipp City, passed away peacefully at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Briarwood Assisted Living in Coldwater. She was born April 5, 1929 in Houston, Ohio to the late Marvin and Helen (Nicholas) Ginn. She married Clarence “Edward” Smith August 13, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana; and he preceded her in death September 13, 2002.

Survivors include a son, Stephen (Jenifer) Smith of Celina; her grandchildren, Shaun (Melanie) Smith, T.J. (Brandi) Smith; and a sister, Mary Jane Inderrieden of Troy. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Lawson, and Janet Weldy.

Ruth retired from the Dayton Area Cooperative Credit Union who merged with Chrysler Credit Union where she served 35 years as a loan officer and assistant manager/bookkeeper.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
