Roney Bradley, 76, of Sidney, passed away at 10:56 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1947 in Adams County to the late John Virgil and Sarah (Haslip) Bradley. He married Patricia K. (Anthony) Bradley March 26, 1977 and she preceded him in death May 20, 2019.
Roney is survived by two children, Michelle “Missy” (Ken) Jay of Bradford, Scott “Tony” (Linda) Treon of Piqua; four grandchildren, Kelli (Kyle) Doak, Kyle Lloyd, Allison Jay, and Tiffany Treon; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Sammy, and Mia; three siblings, Phyllis Whitley, Virgil Bradley, and Ray Bradley; also many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Carl, Sylvia, and Darlene; his brother in law, Leroy; and his sister in law, Jean.
Roney worked for many years at Copeland Corporation and later as maintenance at Ross Aluminum. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roney enjoyed racing Go Karts, and raced at Pence's drag strip. Roney could play the upright and electric Bass and enjoyed sharing that with friends and family. He liked to visit Florida and enjoyed the warm weather there. Roney had a tool for anything and everything, and could make, fix, or do just about anything and was considered a jack of all trades. Roney was known to be stubborn at times, but his intentions were always good hearted and ultimately wanted to look out for his family. He loved his family, and would do just about anything for anyone.
A service to honor his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. David Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home.
