RONALD E. MABBITT

Ronald E. Mabbitt, 84, of Piqua, passed away at 4:33 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born February 14, 1937 in Piqua to the late Howard Mabbitt and Mary (Heckey) Owen.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Carolyn (Kienle) Mabbitt; his daughter Sandra (Scott) Sparke; his stepchildren Andrea (Greg) Day, Craig (Becky) Winter, Joanne (Ronald) Chappie, Suzanne Winter and Roberta (Bruce) Dunaway; his nephew, Larry (Bev) Mabbitt; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Michael, three brothers and a sister.

Mr. Mabbitt was a graduate of Piqua Central High School Class of 1955. Ron proudly served in the US Army from 1954 to 1957. He retired from Jackson Tube in 1996. He faithfully attended and served the Lord at St. Paul’s Church.  Ron enjoyed traveling, woodworking, ballroom and square dancing and spending time with his loving family.

A service to honor his life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery with full military honors being provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
