RONALD K. HARVEY

Ronald K. Harvey, 79, of Troy, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County. He was born June 3, 1945 in Piqua to the late Russell and Mary (Tamplin) Harvey.

Ron is survived by four children, Zach (Amanda) Harvey of Troy, Kaysha (Johann Geib) Harvey of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Troy Harvey of Piqua, and Robin (Robert) Elliott of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren, Henry Ronald Harvey, Elouisa and Elianna Geib, Steven Harvey, Jonathan and Cody Langford, and Heather Elliott; two sisters, Karen (Herb) Sheldon, and Sharen Wenrick all of Piqua; also many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Jerry Harvey.

Ron was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, Class of 1964. He was very patriotic and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Ron worked for over 50 years at Chrysler in various roles, and retired after many years of hard work and dedication. He enjoyed going fishing, competing in competitive euchre pairs for money, and loved the Cincinnati Reds, the Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Ron loved his children dearly, and even coached tee ball when his kids were playing. He will surely be missed.

A service to honor his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fletcher Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for Ron's funeral expenses and grievances.
