ROBERT C. CHILDRE JR.

Robert C. Childre Jr., 65, of Piqua, passed away at 9:02 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2025 at his residence. Robert was born in Columbus on February 12, 1960 to the late Robert & Esther (DeLong) Childre Sr.

Survivors include son, Zach C. Childre of Piqua; stepson, Aaron Clark of Piqua; brother, Michael Childre of Piqua; three sisters, Teresa Childre of Piqua, Jennifer (Shelby) Starkey of Piqua and Kathleen (Jeff) Sturgeon of Troy. Robert was preceded in death by son, Robert Childre III and brother, Jerry Childre.

Robert's passion was cooking and he worked as a chef. He was an avid fisherman and woodworker in his spare time. Robert loved being around people and was always the life of the party at gatherings.

Services to honor Robert’s life will be held by the family at their own convenience. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
