RITA KAY PEARSON

Rita Kay Pearson, 71, of Piqua, passed away at 8:07 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Koester Pavilion. She was born October 20, 1951 in Troy to the late Arthur and Lois (Spry) Getzendiner Sr. She married Clinton Allen Pearson August 7, 1971 in Pleasant Hill and he preceded her in death January 7, 2023.

She is survived by her nieces, Renná (Anthony Speith) Armstrong/Wilson of New Haven, Indiana, and Jennifer Wilhelm of Bellbrook. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and four siblings, Arthur Getzendiner Jr., David Getzendiner, Mary Wilhelm, and Robert Hunsucker.

Mrs. Pearson enjoyed going fishing at Lake Loramie and watching Nascar. Rita was an animal lover, and also collected many things with tiger stripes. She truly loved her husband Clint and was suffering from a broken heart after his recent passing. She will be fondly remembered and missed.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Miami Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are being provided by the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
