Richard Allen Winters, 76, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at home. He was born July 2, 1949 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Isaiah L. and Elizabeth M. (Kline) Winters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rebecca "Becky" Ann (Jackson) whom he married on January 22, 1972 in Prospect, Ohio.
Richard is also survived by his three children, Matthew (Cierra) Winters of Odenton, Maryland, Amy (Matt) of Rockford, Ohio, and Pamela (Brian) Robbins of Piqua, Ohio; six grandchildren, Trinity (Branden) Jones, Colin (Melinda) Winters, Emily Jackson, Kirk Robbins, Ashley Jackson, and Julianne Robbins; two great grandchildren, Leona and Nicholas; and his sister, Patricia Evans of Florida; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Blake Winters; and his brother in law, Ralph Evans.
Richard faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1974, having been stationed at Cam Rahn Bay in the Republic of Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge, Richard worked in the Manufacturing and Retail Services sector as a Managing Supervisor.
A service to honor Richard's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Wellman officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or to Samaritan's Purse.
