Richard A. Wenrick, 81, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 11:07 p.m. Thursday, November 27, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was born October 23, 1944 to the late William and Rosalyn (Hahn) Wenrick. He married Linda D. Jordan February 21, 1964 in Piqua; and she survives.
Other survivors include three grandchildren, Joshua Wenrick, Thomas Wenrick, Tiffany Wenrick; two great grandchildren, Tori, Spencer; and a brother, Kevin (Brandye) Wenrick of Keller, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Wenrick; and a sister, Shirley Fuller.
Mr. Wenrick was a 1962 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. where he served in Vietnam. He was the co-owner of Rayner Electric for over 31 years before his retirement. During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife as well as taking over 50 cruise trips. He was a talented dancer and enjoyed ballroom dancing, Latin dancing and swing dancing. Additionally, he enjoyed tending to his gardens. He was a gifted woodworker and enjoyed building furniture; he also enjoyed the craft of wood turning and made beautiful wood pieces for his home and for his friends.
A gathering of family and friends to honor his life will be held from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rick’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105; or to one’s favorite charity.
