Richard A. Adams, 89, of Piqua, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born May 30, 1935 in Piqua to the late Roy and Mildred (Vornbrock) Adams. He married Judith A. “Judy” Grissom December 15, 1956 in Piqua; and she survives.
Other survivors include four children, Chris (Deb) Adams of Piqua, Rex (Robbin) Adams of Pleasant Hill, Alisa (Greg) Jones of Houston, Andrew (Joan) Adams of Piqua; seven grandchildren, Shaun (Sonya) Adams, LeAnnea (Quinten) Taylor, Rian Adams, Ben (Stephanie) Adams, Ashley Sylwestrak, Brad Adams, Cami (Alex Penny) Adams; and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Adams; a sister, Phyllis Hall; and a grandson, Brian Jones.
Mr. Adams was a 1954 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He worked as an inspector for BF Goodrich for 29 years before he retired. He loved to travel anywhere and everywhere; especially when he had the opportunity to take a cruise. He enjoyed visiting various casinos as well as test his luck with the Ohio Lottery. He enjoyed watching sports and closely followed the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. He will be deeply missed by his family.
A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In the spirit of giving, Richard donated his body to Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
