REYNOLD FREEMAN Obituary

Reynold D. Freeman, 89, of Urbana, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Hearth and Home of Urbana. He was born November 18, 1932 in Miami County to the late John Charles and Helen Beatrice (Wood) Freeman.

Survivors include three children and their mother, Ruth Ann Freeman of Fletcher; James (Kathy) Freeman of Urbana, Rebecca (Gregory) Stahl of Urbana, and Sallie Freeman of St. Paris; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, John Reynold Freeman; and a brother, John "Jack" B. Freeman.

Mr. Freeman was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, and was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Following his time in the service, Reynold worked as an Airline Mechanic for over 30 years with TWA. While working for TWA, he worked overseas and travelled extensively. He was a member of the Warren Masonic Lodge, and received his 50 year pin in 2005. He was also a proud member of the Korean War Veterans of Piqua, the American Legion Post 586 in Tipp City, and the VFW Post 9582 in Vandalia. In his spare time, Reynold was very handy and worked on his tractor, or would modify tools to fit the need and could always "make something out of nothing." He was also a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and he loved his family, and will be missed by all who knew him. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff that became family at Hearth and Home for their compassionate love and care given.

A service to honor his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00pm on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Masonic Home, 2655 W. National Rd., Springfield, OH 45504.
