Ralph E. Parke, 72, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly at 10:46 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1949 in Piqua to the late Francis Parke and Zetta (Davenport) Webb. He married Diana L. Gilmore September 21, 1968 in Piqua and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Bryan (Tammy) Parke of Piqua; a daughter, Holly (Michael) Domitor of Miamisburg; five grandchildren, Taylor (Josh) Hutton, Danielle (Jordan) Maggert, Sabrina Parke, Mikayla Domitor, Gus Domitor; one brother, Philip (Cindy) Parke of Piqua; and three sisters, Margaret Westfall of St. Paris, Phyllis Chester of Sidney, and Nadine (James) Heathman of Lebanon, Oregon. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Webb.
Mr. Parke was a 1967 graduate of Miami East High School. He worked as a tool maker and machinist for Hartzell Propeller from which he retired following 49 ½ years of dedication. He enjoyed collecting die cast farming equipment and attending auctions. He was a wonderful gardener and loved tending to his vegetables and sharing his harvest with others. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Don Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
