PAUL PARSHALL Obituary

Paul F. "Shorty" Parshall, 78, of Piqua, passed away at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born November 22, 1944 in Redondo Beach, California to the late Paul P. and Nellie (Pittenger) Parshall. He married Ida M. (Neller) Parshall July 5, 1968 in Piqua and she preceded him in death November 12, 2014.

Survivors include two children, Michael (Hannah) Parshall, and Shelly Parshall all of Piqua; eight grandchildren, Randi Wagner, Bridget Davenport, Steffany Parshall, Paul Parshall, Mandi Leggett, Devon (Beth Shilling) Parshall, Kira Parshall, and Kennedy Parshall; thirteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy (Charlie) Cook of Lake Havasu, Arizona; also many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, Paul Parshall, and his sister, Aletha Bauhard.

Paul was a graduate of Redondo High School, Class of 1962. He worked as an assembler at Hartzell Fan until his retirement in 2004. In his retirement, Paul worked at Dobo’s Delights Bakery and thoroughly enjoyed the friends he made there. He was an avid woodworker, and loved Ford Trucks and Harley Davidson. Paul loved to travel on his motorcycle, and went cross country and visited many National Parks, Harley shops and also rode most of Route 66. Anyone that knew Paul knew he was a character, and he enjoyed being a lady’s man and was not shy about making them blush. Paul loved his cat Princess, and was always taking care of anything she needed. Most of all, Paul loved his family, and especially loved all of his grandchildren. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

Services to honor Paul’s life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place privately at Forest Hill Cemetery.
