PATRICIA M. YANEY

Patricia M. Yaney, 84, of Piqua, passed away at 6:01 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1938 in Dunkirk, New York to the late Robert M. and Adelle E. (Fandt) Bayster. She married the love of her life, David H. Yaney May 23, 1959 in Piqua; and he survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Tim) Janeczek of Sidney; a son, Benjamin (Connie) Yaney of Calgary, Canada; three grandchildren, Jacob (Kristina) Janeczek, Emily (Allen) Weaver, Adelle (David) Teeter; ten great grandchildren, William, Caleb, Dominic, Lily, Alexis, Jedrek, Van, Norma, Flossie, and Cora. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Bayster, Robert Bayster; and a sister, Fayellen Willis.

Pat was a 1956 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother and Nana to her grandchildren. She also worked as a fitness instructor. She was known as a social butterfly and loved to catch up with old friends, as well as establish new friendships. She enjoyed being “in the know” when it came to her family, friends and politics. Mostly, she loved her family and cherished her time as mom and Nana. She will be deeply missed.

A service to honor her life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Kris Geise officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
