Pamela A. Lambert, 76, of Piqua, passed away at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Hospice of Miami County. She was born May 26, 1948 in Piqua to the late James and Kathleen (Denny) Ostendorf. She married Howard L. Lambert June 1, 1968, the Saturday before graduation; and their union would span 56 years, 4 months, and 22 days; and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Jonathan (Stacy) Lambert of Springfield; three grandchildren, Tyler Lambert, Camden Houston, Michaela Rape; and a sister, Diann Bricker of Piqua. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Ostendorf; a sister, Mary Spurgeon; and a son, Christopher Marcus Lambert, who passed on February 12, 1995.
Pam was a 1968 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She worked as a secretary for 37 years at the former Dettmer Hospital, Piqua Memorial Hospital, and Upper Valley Medical Center before her retirement in 2013. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and in her younger years was an avid bowler. Her bowling claim to fame was bowling a 279 in a 649 series, all eight months pregnant. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She loved to dance, especially with her sister at family gatherings. Additionally, she enjoyed feeding and watching all the birds and squirrels in her yard; and was known to keep them well fed. She will be deeply missed.
A service to honor he life will begin at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Eric Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetic Kids Fund P.O.
