Pamela K. Gustin, 70, formerly of Sidney, passed away at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Otterbein of St. Mary's. She was born August 9, 1953 in Piqua to the late William C. and Lois P. (Shawler) Schimmel. She married John L. Gustin October 12, 1997 in Piqua and he preceded her in death July 17, 2011.
Survivors include three children, Jennifer (Jeremy) Dunham of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brian (Lora) Harrison of Celina, and Miranda (Mark) Jones of Sidney; seven grandchildren, Shawn Bailey, William (Kaylee) Harrison, Johnathan (Samantha) Harrison, Sierra (Dexter) Ingle, Katelynn (Nicholas) Story, Jordan Schmidt, and Alexandra "Lexi" Schmidt; eight great grandchildren; and two siblings, LaVenna (Steve) Wackler of Covington, and Penny Preston of Troy; also many other relatives and friends.
Pam was a graduate of Houston High School, Class of 1971. She previously was a member of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. Pam had worked for various retail stores over the years, and truly loved working with people and being able to connect with them. She was known to be boisterous, and you could usually find Pam just by hearing her from afar. She loved to watch Soap Operas and the Hallmark Channel, she liked to complete Word Searches and Crossword Puzzles, and enjoyed baking for family members, especially her Coffee Cake. Pam was an animal lover, but above all else she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished the times she was able to get them all under one roof.
A service to honor her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hickernell officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home.
