PALMA "PAM" J. JAMES

Palma J. “Pam” James, 72, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Ayden Healthcare. She was born December 26, 1951 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Palmer and Madge (Hall) Williams. She married David L. James May 3, 1969 in Dayton; and he preceded her in death November 15, 2018.

Survivors include a son, John (Tina) James of Piqua; two grandsons whom she loved dearly and was immensely proud of, Spencer David James and Parker Joseph James. She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Lloyd Keen; a brother, Lloyd T. Keen; two sisters, Teresa Long, Lena Knox; a son, David Lloyd James; and her beloved canine companion, Sadie.

Pam attended Bellaire Senior High School in Maryland. She worked for Duff’s Smorgasbord and then as an Assistant Manager for Hobart ITW. She was a member of Madison Avenue Church of God. She was a talented crotchetier and enjoyed making beautiful afghans and scarves. She also enjoyed sewing. She was a proud baseball mom and grandmother, and loved to follow her grandchildren in all of their sporting and academic endeavors. Additionally, she enjoyed going to the casinos with David.  

A graveside service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Pastor Scott Stremmel officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
