Norman D. Warner, 90, of Piqua, more recently of Centerville, passed away peacefully at 3:23 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Austin Trace. He was born February 26, 1934 in Piqua to the late Herschel D. and Wilma L. (Smith) Warner. He married Judith A. Munk in 1957; and she preceded him in death December 10, 1978. He married Patricia L. Dill June 14, 1980; and she preceded him in death September 30, 2015.
Survivors include a son, John (Teri) Warner of Centerville; a daughter, Lisa Warner of Centerville; four grandchildren, Joe Weaver, Amber (Josh) Kunkel, Katie Warner, Carson Warner; three step grandchildren, Kayla (Ryan) Swidan, Kirstin Aliemenious, Katelyn Aliemenious; a great grandson, Oliver Swidan; and a brother, Dean (Joyce) Warner of Mission Viejo, California. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Warner.
Mr. Warner was a 1952 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He served proudly in the United States Army. He worked for many years as a Sales Representative for the Hobart Corporation, from which he retired. He volunteered for over 17 years for Upper Valley Medical Center where he logged over 7000 volunteer hours. He was dedicated in donating blood whenever he could. Additionally, he enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally. He spent over 15 years wintering in Gulf Shores, Alabama and enjoyed taking various cruises. He will be deeply missed
A graveside service to honor his life will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In keeping with Norm’s giving spirit, the family requests that donations be made, in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420; the Alzheimer’s Association, 6077 Far Hills Ave. #117, Dayton, OH 45459; or the American Cancer Society, P.O.
