NANCY JO SOURMAIL-HOLT

Nancy Jo Sourmail-Holt, 89, of Piqua, passed away at 11:38 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Ayden Healthcare. She was born September 2, 1933 in Piqua to the late Vincent and Coral (Burch) Graham. She married Roland Sourmail, Sr. March 23, 1954 in Piqua; and he preceded her in death April 5, 1990. She then married James Holt; and he preceded her in death August 9, 2019.

Survivors include two sons, Roland Sourmail, Jr. of Piqua; Larry (Tina) Neves of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters, Delores Stahl-Brown of Piqua, Rose Gade of Germantown; and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Sourmail. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wesley Sourmail, David Neves; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Nancy worked various jobs in the Piqua and surrounding areas including waiting tables at Pryfogle’s Restaurant, and Orr Felt. She primarily was a homemaker and cared for her children and other family. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles as well as the Silver Eagle’s Ham Radio Club. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, tending to her flowers in her garden, and was a wonderful cook. She will be remembered for her good heart, generosity, and ability to find a good sale. She could be stubborn but stood for what she believed in and was strong willed. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Stremmel officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, Inc. 3230 N.
