Nancy Ann Sirch, name that tune champion, dancing queen, comfort food Contessa, accomplished author of the “I Know Nothing” philosophy of life, broke on through to the other side on Monday, March 20, 2023.
Her biggest fans, who will miss her dearly include her two daughters: Angela (John) Grieco and Dora Francis, grandson Kale, sister Donna (Hutto) and many more special friends who she treasured and loved. She is happily reunited with her husband Mike, mother Dora and father Louis (Frantz), brother Eddie, sisters Jane (Hunter) and Betty (Gustin).
Nancy met the love of her life Mike, outside Kroger’s one day. She was being her fun-loving self, riding a kid’s rocking horse out front with her best friend Berta. Smitten by her beauty and laughter, Mike instantly fell head over heels. From that day on, the two set off on a journey of love and married December 1967.
Music held her heart and soul like nothing else. When in her presence, you could count on either a music trivia quiz session or impromptu dance party. A trip to Nancy’s kitchen, visited by friends and family near and afar got to enjoy her specialty dishes including: The infamous chicken and noodles, dill dip, sloppy joe’s, dandelion greens, fried noodles and slab cake. Her secret of life philosophy, I Know Nothing, derived from her wisdom of acceptance. Never strive to figure anything out, it’s a waste of precious time.
Nancy faced life with a quiet confidence that everything would be alright. She didn’t fuss, worry or stress about things. She faced it all and through it all, she did it her way.
Celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date, sure to include music, dancing and delicious food. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
