Nancy Ellen (Lee) Kruse, affectionately known as Nanny, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on May 5, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born on March 17, 1936 to the late Art and Ruth (Jones) Lee. She married James W. Kruse on February 16, 1957, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2012.
Nanny found joy in homemaking, knitting, cooking, playing cards, gardening, caring for her pets, and most especially, cherishing time with her family. Nancy graduated from Piqua Central in 1954 and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. A dedicated community servant, she volunteered as a candy striper at Piqua Memorial Hospital and later with Meals on Wheels and at a local rehabilitation center.
Nancy is survived by her children, Dave (Sandy) Kruse and Kate Stacy; grandchildren, Amanda (Bill) Hager, Abby Kruse, David Kruse, James (Baylee) Brooks, Lillian Stacy, and Emily Stacy; six great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Zoey, Zed, Haddie, Hank, and Holden; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong best friend, Nancy Woods. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jerry and Bo Lee, and grandson, Sam Kruse.
