NANCY LOUISE DONNELLY

Nancy Louise Donnelly, 75, of Piqua, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Buckeye Forest Nursing Home. She was born February 24, 1950 in Mineola, New York to the late George Edward and Thelma Louise (Carson) Donnelly.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Patricia Worthington of Humboldt, Iowa; her niece, Kathleen (Brent) Eysler of Huntington Station, New York; and her Buckeye Forest caregivers and residents. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kay Niegocki; and her brothers in law, John Niegocki and Michael Worthington.

Nancy was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Academy, Class of 1968. She went on to Sullins College and then received her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University in 1972. Nancy was known for her great sense of humor, her artistic talents, and her love of animals. She had a very kind heart, and was a very caring individual. She would do anything in her ability to take care of anyone. She was lovingly referred to as "Fancy Nancy" by her Buckeye Forest family, for her "New York" flair. Fancy Nancy and Smokey the Bear will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved them.

A service to honor Nancy's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Buckeye Forest Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., also on Thursday, at Miami Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. The family has requested no flowers, but please consider memorial contributions in Nancy's memory be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter, the Bethany Center, or to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
