MR. & MRS. FRED & LOIS SCOTT

Fred passed away in December, 2020, during the pandemic and Lois passed in December of 2024. The family wanted a special time to honor both of them, together.

Fred Eugene Scott was born in 1927 and died at age 91. He attended Miltonvale College, but chose to go into law enforcement. He became an Ohio State Patrol Officer in 1950 and retired with a rank of Sargeant and Identification Officer.

Lois Irene Koons Scott was born in 1925 and passed away at the age of 99. She graduated from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, with a double degree in English and Music. Lois was an excellent pianist with a beautiful voice and a talent for teaching. A devout Christian, she shared her many talents with various churches.

Fred and Lois were married for 73 years and had 3 children: Brenda Scott (Jim) Vetter; Rex Scott (Cyndie); and Sherry Scott (Pat) Schaefer.

As a celebration of the lives of Mr. & Mrs. Scott, there will be a “Remembrance of Fred and Lois Scott” from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home where a short prayer service for family and friends to honor Fred and Lois will begin at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in their name can be made to The Habitat for Humanity of Miami & Shelby Counties, 150 E Race St, Troy, OH 45373.
