MORGAN MORELAND Obituary

Morgan W. Moreland, 21 of Piqua, passed away at 11:54 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home after a very courageous battle against Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was born July 3, 2001 in Butler, Missouri to Dallas Moreland of Minster and Crystal (Taylor) Moreland of Piqua.

Other survivors include his son who was his world, Brentley Thomas; two brothers, Couy and Mason Moreland both of Piqua; maternal grandparents, Joyce (Mike) Dawson of Troy; the mother of his son, Cassie Flores; and a few of his cousins he was very close to, Luke, Bobby, and Kristy Villa; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ronald (Judy) Moreland.

Morgan was a graduate of Troy High School and the Upper Valley Career Center Class of 2019 and excelled in the welding program. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America in Butler, Missouri and Miami East and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed working outside, working on cars, going hunting, fishing, and camping. Morgan was an avid gun collector, a swift lego builder, and a jack of all trades. He was always active, a hard worker and even with everything he was going through, he wanted to keep working and still put others first before himself. Morgan will be remembered for his strength, his bravery, and his resolve to never stop fighting. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A special time to honor his life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will take place back home at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rich Hill, Missouri.
