MILDRED L. LEVERING

Mildred L. Levering, 94 of Piqua, passed away at 9:17 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. She was born July 12, 1928 in Fletcher to the late Furman and Gladys (Kemp) Kiser. She married Howard R. Levering April 2, 1979 in Perrysburg, Virginia and he preceded her in death May 22, 2005.

Survivors include one son, Gary (Susan) Homan of Houston; a daughter-in-law, Julie Homan of Piqua; a son-in-law, Paul Folmer of Greenville, South Carolina; three step sons, John (Ann) Levering of Piqua, Frank Levering of Columbus, and Thomas (Kathy) Levering of Piqua; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; three siblings, Furman “Bud” (Shirley) Kiser Jr. of Greenville, Hazel Franke of Piqua, and Dorothy Schultz of Greenville; also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two children, Robert Homan and Connie Folmer; four brothers, Melvin (Esther) Kiser, Roger (Josephine) Kiser, Harold and Leonard Kiser; a sister, Phyllis Taylor; and a brother-in-law, Morris Franke.

Mrs. Levering over the years worked on the farm, and was a nurse’s aide, but most of all she devoted her time to taking care of the one’s she loved. Mildred was a wonderful homemaker and made sure her children and grandchildren had what they needed. She had a home in Florida and enjoyed staying there every six months. She made the best of life and once took a cruise to Hawaii with a friend and it was the best time of her life. She also loved to go gambling and play cards with family and friends.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Miami Memorial Park with Rev. John Shelton officiating. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N.
