Michelle Yvonne Schellenberg, 70, of Piqua, passed away at 3:56 a.m. Tuesday June 30, 2026 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. She was born June 29, 1956 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late James Rollen Lines and Sally Jo (Bibler) Lines, who survives. She married Benjamin Schellenberg May 19, 1984 in Piqua; and he preceded her in death April 28, 2024.
Other survivors include three children, Steven (Katherine) McClay of Anna, Enian (Jonathan) Phillips of Piqua, Gary (Jessica) Schellenberg of Middlebury, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Anthony, Tyler, Spencer, Andrew, Samuel, Emma, Olivia; two sisters, Joellen Justice, Charlotte (Dan) Hirtzer; two nephews, Douglas (Katherine) Justice, Blaine (Adriene) Justice. She was preceded in death by a brother in law, James “Ace” Justice.
Michelle was a 1995 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor degree in nursing. She retired in 2023 from Upper Valley Medical Center working as a registered nurse. Michelle enjoyed going to the YMCA and enjoyed her time with her swim group. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Michelle was an avid collector of Scooby Doo figurines and would display them. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with her friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Wednesday July 8, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Jacob Schmiesing as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday July 7, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Broadway, Piqua, OH 45356 or Ohio Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Rd. 25A Troy, OH 45373.
