MaryAnn Wilson, 78, of Piqua, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County. She was born January 30, 1946 in Piqua to the late Herbert Eugene and Helen Elizabeth (Hughes) Tamplin Sr. She married Harry Wilson on December 14, 1968 in Troy and he survives.
MaryAnn is also survived by two children, Jaril Arnold of Urbana, and Matthew (Courtney) Wilson of Piqua; five grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler, Jordan, Travis, and Colton; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary; and five siblings, Herbert Eugene Tamplin Sr., Carolyn Haney, Linda Bodey, Fred Tamplin, and Ben Tamplin.
MaryAnn was a graduate of Graham High School, Class of 1964. She loved nature, and enjoyed going on walks and watching the birds, and previously kept a flower garden at her home. MaryAnn was an animal lover and loved having dogs over the years. She always wanted to take a trip out West and she and Harry took that trip and always cherished the memories made on that trip. Above all, MaryAnn loved her family and always enjoyed being able to gather for any event.
A graveside service to honor her life will be held privately at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
