Mrs. Smith attended Bradford High School and was a longtime member of the Piqua Church of the Brethren. Mary was a hardworker her whole life and had worked for Atlas Superior for many years, and then as the head cook at the Joint Vocational School for ten years before retiring in 1985. She enjoyed being active with the Ladies Fellowship of the Church group in the past and was pleased with her care and friendships made over the years at the Brethren Retirement Community.
