Marilyn A. Selover, 87, of Piqua, passed away at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at SpringMeade Health Center. She was born April 12, 1936 in Wapakoneta to the late Walter P. and Evon Louise (Knotts) Eisert. She married Jack R. Selover September 11, 1954 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Freyburg; and he preceded her in death December 13, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Vicki) Selover of Tipp City, Bruce (Jackie) Selover of Sidney; a daughter, Becky (Dan) Harrison of Maricopa, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Jaime) Harrison, Amy Harrison, Kelly Selover, Brian Selover, Justin (Ami) Selover, Katie (Brian) King, Kyle (Whitney) Selover; six great grandchildren, Jack, Oliver, Hallie, Colton, Maverick, Mila; and a sister, Judy Clarkson of Sun City, Florida. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Eisert.
Mrs. Selover was a 1954 graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling with her bowling league in her younger years. She also enjoyed her time as the owner of Selover’s Crafts & Toys for years and enjoyed collecting, buying and selling dolls and toys. She was a devout and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply.
A service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Isaiah Callan officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 200 Vesey St. 28th Floor, New York, NY 10281.
